Wireless Internet – the UIC-WiFi public network can be used by anyone with a valid UIC NetID and password. Res-Net is the computer network available in the UIC resident halls to access the internet. For help or support using WiFi or Res-Net, visit a C-stop or email us at consult@uic.edu.

Office 365 – did you know Office 365 is available for free for all UIC students with a valid UIC NetID? With Office 365, you can get a full installation of Office applications on your PC or Mac and mobile device. You also get free online storage, extra features on your tablet and smartphone, and more, so you have the power and flexibility to get things done from virtually anywhere.

File Storage – Box.com is a secure cloud-based file storage service with 50GB of free space. Use it to collaborate on documents with classmates, sync important files between devices, and receive notifications.

Video Tutorials – Lynda.com offers free video tutorials on leading software topics, taught by industry experts. The tutorials are available 24/7 for convenient, self-paced learning. Use it to discover how to get the most out of your devices with helpful videos like, “iPhone and iPod touch iOS 6 Essential Training”. There are thousands of videos to choose from. Log on to Lynda.com using the UIC portal.

Printing – your Dragon Dollars credit of $15, used exclusively for printing each semester, has refreshed and now appears in your U-Print account. Use them to print to an ACCC lab printer from your own laptop or desktop computer – on or off campus.

Blackboard Course Sites – If your professors use Blackboard, you will need to use it to communicate with them, access course content, and/or check your grades. Once you have logged into Blackboard using your UIC NetID, you can click on the Get Help tab at the top of the screen to access information on how to better use the system, including FAQs, mobile access to information, and more.
